The Wells Gallery in Charleston, SC, will present the exhibit, Four Different Artists; Four Different Attitudes, featuring works by Kevin LePrince, Laurie Meyer, Rick Reinert, and Sue Stewart, on view from Nov. 6 - 20, 2009.
Rick Reinert ---------------------------------- Sue Stewart
Inspired by the lowcountry, all four artists interpret their surroundings to their individual experience. From the whimsical local wildlife in a LePrince painting, to Meyer's quality of light in a spontaneous rendering of historic downtown en plein air, the show will feature an assortment of regional scenes. Reinert depicts the glowing lights of Charleston at night while Stewart seeks out anything that inspires her. From pastoral fields landscapes to a crowded beach at Folly, the show will promise to feature many different perspectives of lowcountry living.
Located at 125 Meeting Street next to the Gibbes Museum of Art in historic downtown Charleston, the Wells Gallery features fine regional art from a diversity of perspectives in various mediums, including painting and hand-blown glass. The gallery is a member of the Charleston Fine Art Dealers' Association and the French Quarter Gallery Association. An additional gallery is located in the Sanctuary Hotel at Kiawah Island.
