Hot Works Presents 4th Annual Charlotte Fine Art & Craft Show™ - Dec. 9-11, 2011
The 4th Annual Charlotte Fine Art & Craft Show™ happens on Dec. 9-11, 2011. In 2011, the event has a new and improved location in the heart of Uptown Charlotte at the Convention Center, which is the old home of the American Craft Council. This event is juried by art professionals based on technique/execution, quality and originality; approximately 125 accepted artists with all forms of media.
The Charlotte Fine Art Show™ is a high quality, juried fine art & fine craft event with world renowned and top notch local Carolina artists who offer their art work for sale to the public in all forms of media. It can be compared with quality of art to the ACC show; only offers more variety and includes fine art such as paintings, sculpture, photography, in addition to fine crafts of wood, fiber, clay, glass, jewelry and more.
In the past 3 years, Hot Works presented the Charlotte Fine Art Show™ at the old Merchandise Mart. Upon artists’ requests, the art show is moving to the Convention Center. This event has grown to be Charlotte’s Premier Art Event – it is different than other art shows in the area in a number of ways. For some, this will be their only event in North Carolina. This is your one chance in a year to see artists who display in New York, Miami, LA, Chicago and Atlanta.
The Charlotte Fine Art Show™ opens on Friday, Dec. 9, from 11am-7pm; Saturday, Dec. 10, from 10am-5pm; and Sunday, Dec. 11, from 10am-5pm. In addition to the great art, the Institute for the Arts & Education is a non profit 501c3 organization that is part of this event. Its mission is artistry and community enrichment and helps find ways to enrich lives and strengthen the community through the power of arts. Our goal is to create an atmosphere that enhances the artwork and creates a relaxing environment for art lovers. At the door, admission is $8; 3-day return weekend pass is $10; 12 & under free. Advanced discounted tickets can be purchased at (www.TicketLeap.com).
The show takes place in the Charlotte Convention Center, Hall C, located st 501 S. College Street in Charlotte. There is plenty of parking next door at LAZ Parking or adjacent to the Convention Center at Nascar Museum, plus many street side parking lots throughout uptown Charlotte.
Hot Works flagship show, the Orchard Lake Fine Art Show® held in West Bloomfield, MI, has been voted in the top 100 art shows in the country the last five years in a row! That is the same quality of art we bring to Charlotte. There is something for everyone at this event. Enjoy the sounds of various musicians; live art demonstrations allow the patrons to see how some of the art work is made in wood carvings, paintings and clay wheel throwing. The kids can create refrigerator-quality masterpieces in the kid’s art section and the rest enjoy the time selecting that perfect art work for their living room, bedroom, kitchen, office, holiday gifts, and even outdoors in the garden! Clearly this event is different, from the indoor setting to the quality and variety of fine art. Hot Works also presents the Boca Raton Fine Art Show™ in Boca Raton, FL; and the Estero Fine Art Show™ in Estero, FL.
