Greenville Technical
College in Greer, SC, Features Group Exhibit on the Face
The Department of Visual and Performing Arts at the Greer campus of Greenville Technical College in Greer, SC, is presenting works by six Upstate Artists in the exhibition, Face Facts: Contemporary Portraiture and Figuration in the Upstate, on view through Jan. 8, 2010. The exhibit that responds to the enduring tradition of portraiture and figuration features works by Paul Flint, Zane Logan, Beth Marcum, David Slone, Jamie Tanner, and Jean-Paul Tousignant.
These artists reexamine historical precedent and challenge our expectations, providing not only a context for consideration, but divergent possibilities within it. Works include mixed media sculpture, printmaking, photography, and painting.
Please join us on Dec. 3, 2009, at 4:30pm for an afternoon of informal discussion with the artists as they share their influences, practices, and anecdotes.
