Corrigan Gallery
in Charleston, SC, Features Visions of France
Corrigan Gallery in Charleston, SC, will present the exhibit, Allons Y, featuring new works by Gordon Nicholson, John Moore and Lese Corrigan, on view from Feb. 6 - 28, 2009.
The exhibition, a show of drawings, photographs and linocuts of images of France - unframed, unadorned, simple and affordable for a show emphasizing the inspiration and the image. "Allons Y" translates as "let's go" when heading to a specific place the place of inspiration and this time the place is France.
These new works drawings by Gordon Nicholson, photographs by John Moore and linocuts by Lese Corrigan are the result of recent travels by the first two and several years of residency in France by Corrigan. Although it has been many years, she has been "on the way" to create works from her time there and the recent visits by Nicholson and Moore inspired a "let's go" to the studio!
