Gallery C in Raleigh, NC, Features
Works by Jean Jack
Gallery C in Raleigh, NC, will present Recent
Works, featuring new paintings by Jean Jack, on view from
Feb. 18 through Mar. 30, 2011. This will be Jack's fourth exhibit
at Gallery C.
Jack's landscape oil paintings focus on solitary architectural
structures such as tobacco barns, grain silos, beach and farm
houses, and barns. These buildings convey a quiet dignity as she
arranges them in the landscape, beneath colorful skies. She paints
in oils on canvas.
Jack was trained at the Arts Students League
in New York City and has been painting for nearly 40 years. She
is originally from New England, where she spent the first half
of her career. The past 20 years she has worked and lived in New
Mexico, until recently, when she returned to the New England area.
