Center of the Earth Gallery in Charlotte, NC, Features Works by James Clark and the CTE Collection

James Clark

Center of the Earth Gallery in Charlotte, NC, will present the exhibits: James Clark: A Sculptor's Life, and CTE Collects: Gallery Acquisitions, on view from Apr. 2 through May 29, 2010.

For well over a decade, CTE has had the pleasure of representing the cubist sculpture of James Clark. A legendary NoDa Arts District resident, Clark incorporates the emotions and experiences that bind humanity together in his wood constructions.

A selection of small table top studies to life size nudes from the past 30 years will be on exhibit. Clark received his BFA at the Rhode Island School of Design and his MFA from Cranbrook. His work can be found in the collections of Dettra Flag Co., Annin & Co., Mele Manufacturing Co., and Russel Wright Associates.

In addition to Clark's sculpture, we will be presenting a selection of works from the gallery collection. CTE believed in the growth and promise of several artists and has acquired their works over the past 20 years. We are pleased to share with you this eclectic collection, which includes notables Jennifer Bartlett, Howard Finster, Robert Kushner, and Wolf Kahn.
