April Issue 2010

Gallery C in Raleigh, NC, Features Works by Jennifer Gardner

Gallery C in Raleigh, NC, will present the exhibit, Recent Works in Pastel, an exhibit of new works by nationally renowned impressionist pastel artist, Jennifer Gardner, on view from Apr. 30 through June 9, 2010.

Gardner immigrated to America in 1999 after leaving behind her career as a lawyer in the United Kingdom, to pursue her love of making art. Gardner draws almost entirely in pastels and conveys her love for the natural beauty of the countryside, the vibrancy of the city, and the tranquility of the sea through her artwork.

Gardner creates representational works using pastels in an impressionistic style. In addition to these, she creates purely abstract work using many layers of pastels along with watercolor highlights.

Gardner is a Signature Member of the prestigious Pastel Society of America. Gardner has been published in The Pastel Journal, The Artist's Magazine, American Artist's Magazine, and Practical Painting. Her work is featured in the Marietta Lee Museum of Art in Sarasota, FL, and in the corporate collections of WCSH6, Saco City Hall, and West Bridge, Inc.
