3rd POP Open
Studio Tour Features Artists in Pickens, Oconee, & Pendleton
Counties in SC - Apr. 24 & 25, 2010
The POP Open Studio Tour provides an opportunity for visitors to interact with artists and see artwork at the source, their own studio, located in Pickens, Oconee, and Pendleton Counties in SC. Visit artists working in a variety of media: clay, painting, photography, printmaking, woodcarving, fiber art, and handcrafted jewelry. Watch techniques demonstrated and gain a fresh perspective on art by talking with the artists. Whether you are a long time collector or you are just beginning a collection, the POP Open Studio Tour is a perfect venue to shop for fine art and craft.
All studios are open on the POP Open Studio Tour weekend, Apr. 24, 2010, from 10am-6pm and Apr. 25, 2010, from noon-6pm.
A showcase consisting of one piece of art from each participating POP artist will be on display in the POP Art Exhibit, on view at The World of Energy located in Seneca, SC, from Apr. 5 through May 14, 2010. The 2010 mixed media show, features works by 60 local artists. Maps and directions to the artists' studios will be available. The World of Energy will have expanded hours during the open studio tour weekend: 10am-5pm on Saturday, Apr. 24, and noon-5pm on Sunday, Apr. 25. Most exhibit pieces will be available for purchase.
