Many of her paintings depict the mountains seasonal transitions or from watching the early morning fog lift from the valleys. Brugh Moore is moved to paint by what is happening around her. The remarkable variety of light effects found in nature provides her with a lifetime of inspirational subject matter, pastoral landscape, wildflowers, color intense sunsets, sunlit buildings, the subject matter is unlimited. As an artist she studies her craft through reading, painting and teaching watercolor workshops.
After graduating from West Virginia University with a degree in art education, Brugh Moore taught in public schools.
