Gallery C in Raleigh, NC, Offers Annual Best Of Exhibit
The much anticipated annual exhibition The Best of North Carolina is on view at Gallery C, in Raleigh, NC, through May 18, 2014. A reception will be held on Apr. 4, from 6-9pm.
Gallery owner and art historian Charlene Newsom employs her broad knowledge of North Carolina art to curate an extensive collection of 20 landmark pieces by important North Carolina artists. Some of the biggest names in North Carolina art from the 19th and 20th Centuries are included in this year’s show.
A complete list of the artists follows: George Bireline, Sarah Blakeslee, Robert Broderson, Charles Chapin, Elliott Clark, Tucker Cooke, Homer Ellertson, Roy Gussow, Victor Huggins, Mary Anne K. Jenkins, Edith London, Frank London, James Augustus McLean, Mitchell, Philip Moose, Louis Orr, Henry Pearson, Hobson Pittman, Mabel Pugh, Joe Chris Robertson, Francis Speight, Walter Thrift, and Bayard Wootten.
Gallery C is located in downtown Raleigh on the corner of Blount Street and Peace Street and there is plenty of free parking.
