City of North Charleston, SC, Offers 2014 Art & Fine Craft Co-Op Gallery

This temporary cooperative gallery, at The Meeting Place is presented as a component of the annual North Charleston Arts Festival. The Gallery is dedicated to presenting works by many local artists of varied backgrounds working in a diverse array of media and representing a full range of styles, on view from Apr. 4 through May 31, 2014. The public is invited to attend a free reception hosted by the artists on May 7, from 5-8pm during the North Charleston Arts Festival Art Walk.

A variety of pieces including paintings, prints, sculpture, fine crafts, jewelry, fiber art and more will be available for sale.

Participating artists include Dina Barron, Donna Boerema, Laura Cody, Marcy Criner, Trish Emery, Muriel Lanciault, Susan Salvey, Karol Skelly, and Francina Smalls-Joyner. The temporary, artist-run gallery is presented as a component of the 2014 North Charleston Arts Festival, taking place May 2-10, 2014.

Each featured artist takes part in the management and operation of the cooperative and the gallery. Visitors are likely to find the artists creating works on site during gallery hours, which are 11am to 7pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

The Meeting Place is located at 1077 East Montague Avenue in the revitalized Olde Village area of North Charleston. Parking is free.
