Public Library in Charleston, SC, Features Youth Art
The Charleston County Public Library in Charleston, SC, will present the exhibit, The Palmetto Project's Yo Art Project Exhibition, on view from May 1 - 31, 2009, in the lobby of the systems Main Branch in downtown Charleston.
The exhibition features twenty five art pieces and photo works by kids ages 6 to 15 from Yo Art's Title One School Outreach Programs. These photos, artwork and posters illustrate the children's individual creativity as well as an insight into their community.
The Yo Art Project is a facet of Palmetto Project programs and is presented in partnership with the Piccolo Spoleto Festival of the City of Charleston's Office of Cultural Affairs, Chicora Elementary, Boys and Girls Club, Wings for Kids and the Charleston County Public Library.
