Charlotte Art
League in Charlotte, NC, Offers Works by Goodwill Industries Clients
This annual collaborative exhibit of Goodwill Industries and the Charlotte Art League will be installed at the Charlotte Art League Gallery on Camden Road in Charlotte, NC, on view from June 5 - 27, 2009. The exhibition is dedicated to the memory of Carole Stockton.
In early 2008, Goodwill Industries and the Charlotte Art League first partnered in offering art classes to individuals with disabilities in training for competitive employment with Goodwill Industries.
An exhibit from those art classes was held at the Charlotte Art League Gallery during the month of Mar., 2008. The works were sold and the money from the sales was given to the artists. The partnership provided great levels of satisfaction to both organizations and so they are continuing this complimentary program on a yearly basis. The exhibit is the perfect outcome for work throughout the year.
