Gallery of Greenville in Greenville, SC, Features Works by Ella
McBee Cart and Anne Marie Dalis
The Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville in Greenville, SC, will present an exhibit of works by St. Simon's, GA, artists Ella McBee Cart and Anne Marie Dalis, lending a new perspective to their patrons with works featuring the coastal scenes of Georgia, on view from July 1 - 31, 2010.
Ella McBee Cart originally
hails from Spartanburg, SC, and has been an artist all her life.
Cart is a mixed media artist and this allows her the freedom of
utilizing a variety of textures to achieve the desired end result.
Her love of nature's beauty often manifests itself into her paintings
as she weaves wildlife, flora and fauna into a myriad of patterns
and shapes. While Cart typically works with mixed media, she also
is known for her oil and watercolor paintings.
Ann Marie Dalis is a graduated of the University of Georgia with
a BFA degree in interior design. Dalis has enjoyed many careers
from an assistant editor of crafts with Southern Living Magazine
to a business owner of a children's accessory company, and as
a visual arts teacher. She is a watercolorist, acrylic painter,
and potter. Dalis enjoys painting in acrylics the colorful scenery
and cottages of St. Simons, creating watercolors of the area's
plant life.
The Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville is a co-operative gallery located in the heart of downtown Greenville. Over twenty local artists are represented in the gallery along with various mediums including acrylic, mixed media, oil and watercolor paintings, jewelry, glass, woodwork and sculpture. One or more of the artists is in the gallery at all times, demonstrating throughout the day and always ready to discuss their art with visitors.
