Caldwell Arts Council in Lenoir, NC, Offers Works by Betsy Coogler
The Caldwell Arts Council in Lenoir, NC, will present an exhibit of works by Asheville, NC, artist Betsy Coogler, on view at the Caldwell Memorial Hospital Art-in-Healing Gallery, from July 1 through Sept. 30, 2011.
Coogler’s acrylic paintings reflect the things she loves - her children, the flowers in her garden, her dog, and the beauty that surrounds us here in Western NC. Born and raised in Shelby, NC, she studied art at The Maryland Institute of Art in Baltimore, and studied painting at the Leo Marchutz School in Provence, France.
Some of Coogler’s paintings are on canvas, and some are on fabric. Her artwork is also featured at Textures Gallery in Waynesville, NC, and at Hands Gallery in Boone, NC.
The Caldwell Memorial Hospital Art-in-Healing Gallery is located in the MRI wing at the Mulberry Street entrance to the hospital. Hours for this gallery are 7am-8pm daily.
