Artists Guild
Gallery Of Greenville in Greenville, SC, Offers Traveling Show
The Artists Guild Gallery of Greenville, in Greenville, SC, will present the exhibit, Bras for a Cause, on view from Aug. 1 - 31, 2009.
The Artist's Guild Gallery of Greenville has the honor of hosting Bras for a Cause the brain child of The Quilter's of South Carolina, who have been in existence since 1994. This exhibit has been a traveling show throughout the United States expressing the call for help to support cancer research for Breast Cancer. The show brings some relief in the sadness of the illness that inflicts so many, showing the expressive way the artists have worked their process on a underwear surface. This showing opens up your heart and brings a smile and even laughter, which is needed so much in the subject of cancer. This unusual exhibit consists of fifty original works of art on bras. The bras are unique, entertaining, humorous, and beautiful. This is a must see exhibit! It will be exciting and fun, yet its purpose is to memorialize those who were lost to this disease, to honor its survivors, and to bring breast cancer awareness to the public.
The Artists Guild Gallery is proud to be the Greenville host for this exciting and worthwhile exhibit. We would like to thank The Quilters of South Carolina for the privilege of being a part of this worthwhile cause.
