Brookgreen Gardens
in Murrells Inlet, SC, Offers National Sculpture Exhibit
Brookgreen Gardens in Murrells Inlet, SC, is presenting the National Sculpture Society's 76th Annual Awards Exhibition, on view in the Rainey Sculpture Pavilion through Aug. 23, 2009.
This juried show includes the work of 41 prominent sculptors from across the country, including 15 prize-winning works. During the course of the exhibit, visitors will be able to vote for their favorite sculptures to win Brookgreen Gardens' People's Choice Award. Announcement of the winner is made during a celebration on Aug. 22. The exhibition is free with regular garden admission.
The National Sculpture
Society was the first organization of professional sculptors formed
in the United States whose purpose is to "spread the knowledge
of good sculpture". Today, NSS continues to encourage excellence
in sculpture throughout the United States. For more information
