Art Museum in Spartanburg, SC, Offers Annual Artists Guild Exhibition
The Spartanburg Art
Museum in Spartanburg, SC, is presenting the Artists' Guild of
Spartanburg's 36th Annual Juried Exhibition, on view through
Oct. 10, 2009.
This exhibition, one of the most prestigious in the Upstate, includes
paintings, photography and sculpture by members of the Artists'
Guild of Spartanburg. Last year 83 works in the show were juried
into the exhibition from more than 200 entries. First place, $1,000,
second place, $750, and third place, $500, awards will be presented
in addition to merit awards offered by private and corporate sponsors.
The Artists' Guild of Spartanburg is a non-profit organization for visual artists in Spartanburg and the surrounding communities. The exhibit's major sponsor is the Spartanburg Art Museum. This program is sponsored in part by the South Carolina Arts Commission, The Arts Partnership of Greater Spartanburg and its donors, the County and City of Spartanburg, and the Guild's generous supporters.
