Gallery C in Raleigh, NC, Presents Exhibit Focused on Coffee

Gallery C and Café Helios in Raleigh, NC, will present Hot and Steamy, the Art of Coffee, on view from Aug. 2 through Sept. 4, 2013. A reception will be held on Aug. 2, from 6-9pm.

We at Gallery C have noticed that our friends, our children and even our senior parents are hanging out in coffee houses. This is representative of a major shift in American culture and we have asked some of our favorite artists to go to their local coffee shop to find inspiration. This concept show will feature paintings of friends sharing a “cup of Joe”, show outdoor cafes full of coffee drinkers and still-life’s with cups, bottles and coffee pots.

We are partnering with Café Helios, our own local neighborhood coffee house to bring you this special exhibition. They will be here for our opening reception on Friday, Aug. 2, serving coffee in its simplest form as well as featuring some tasty specialty coffee drinks.

Gallery C is located in Downtown Raleigh on the corner of Blount Street and Peace Street in Blount Street Commons and there is plenty of free parking.
