Raleigh, NC, Offers Folk Art Exhibit
Gallery C in Raleigh, NC, will present an exhibit of American Folk Art, including Outsider Art, on view from Sept. 4 - Oct. 9, 2009.
Nationally known artists with works in the exhibit include: Howard Finster, the Man of Visions; Minnie Evans and her gardens of joy; Ted Ludwiczak's Hudson River stone carvings of smiling faces; Tubby Brown's hot devils; Vollis Simpson's welded steel whirligigs, tramp art, prison art and Clyde Jones' chainsaw critter carvings.
The exhibition also includes a menagerie of animals, birds, flowers, and people, many by unknown artists from across America.
The exhibition is organized by Charlene Ferrell Newsom, President; Rock Kershaw, Director and Andrew Spears, Technologies Director & Registrar.
