Liberty Oak Restaurant in Greensboro, NC, Features Works by Carol Hunter and Andrew Day

Liberty Oak restaurant in Greensboro, NC, is presenting an exhibit of photography works by Carol Hunter and Andrew Day, on view through Oct. 31, 2009.

Hunter will display between 15-20 works covering a variety of subject from streetscapes, ballet, abstracts and other images. Her digital enhanced works offer a unique view into common subjects and give them a creative edge.

A native of Cincinnati, OH, Hunter began her photography career with a photography certificate from Guilford Technological Community College in the late 1980's. She later studied with professional photographer Ed Kohus in Chapel Hill, NC.

Hunter went on to teach darkroom photography for Greensboro-based Carolina Camera and for the Center for Creative Arts. She has been a free-lance photographer for the Hamburger Square Post for 15 years, for Community Theatre of Greensboro for 9 years and an events, portrait and wedding photographer (specializing in non-traditional weddings currently) since 1986.

Hunter has been a member of the Winston-Salem Photographers Group, The Dead Photographer's Society and the Leapfrog Group. Her photography has been exhibited in various galleries in Greensboro, NC, Winston-Salem, NC, High Point, NC, Seagrove, NC, Charlotte, NC and Atlanta, GA.

Currently, Hunter works in black and white, infrared and color film and strictly photographs in a digital format. She has over 10 years experience in digital photographic manipulation and has developed her own website for photography.
