The Mahler in
Raleigh, NC, Features Works by Robert Patierno
The Mahler in Raleigh, NC, is presenting the exhibit, Robert Patierno: A Retrospective, featuring works by Internationally known artist and printmaker, Robert Patierno, on view through Sept. 26, 2009.
Patierno was a Founder of the Pennsylvania College of Art and Design, starting the school with other faculty in 1983 and seeing it through its evolution to a four year, BFA granting institution. The Fine Arts Department was developed by Patierno where he was Chair for a decade before leaving in 2003.
Patierno paints murals also, and resides in Pennsylvania. He has exhibited his paintings, prints and drawings in galleries and museums throughout Europe and across the United States. He has shown his work in Belgium, France, Switzerland, as well as Scottsdale, Arizona, Santa Fe, New Mexico, Austin Texas, Raleigh North Carolina, Columbia South Carolina, and New York City.
The Mahler is a new fine art gallery located in downtown Raleigh in the historic and newly renovated Mahler Building on Fayetteville Street. The Mahler is a dynamic venue dedicated to significant art of our time, committed to offering the best in regional and national fine art by emerging and established artists.
